The 37th edition of Canada’s largest ceramics exhibition runs from July 3 to August 16, 2026
Val-David, July 3, 2026 – Canada’s largest ceramics exhibition opens today in the heart of the village of Val-David. Until August 16, more than 120 ceramic artists from Quebec and beyond will take over the site for six weeks of encounters, creativity, and discovery.
Set in an enchanting garden, far from the pace of everyday life, visitors can wander freely among the booths, meet artisans, watch live creations take shape, and even get their hands into clay. From functional and sculptural ceramics to intimate twilight concerts and workshops for all ages, 1001 Pots is as much a space of beauty as it is a place for connection.

Not to be Missed This Summer
- Guest artists Jean-François Bourlard and Valérie Blaize – The two French artists will be in residence at 1001 Pots throughout July. At Espace K, visitors will discover an exhibition dedicated to two major projects from their practice, 1400° and Raku Punk, while also taking part in public talks, masterclasses, and open studio sessions.
- Raku Punk, July 21 at 9 p.m. – Jean-François Bourlard and Valérie Blaize will push the boundaries of contemporary ceramics during a spectacular live firing performance in which fire becomes a living material.
- Live ceramic creation – Six artists will be hosted in residence throughout the summer. Lou-Anne Daoust-Filiatrault, Eve-Marie Laliberté, Roxane Charest and Ellora Rangaya, along with Edmond Rochette Pelletier and Célia Beauchesne as part of a partnership with Concordia University and Atelier de l’Île, will invite the public to discover their creative process as it unfolds.
- More than 50 courses and workshops – Introductory classes, wheel-throwing workshops, immersive weekends, and intensive training sessions will allow children, amateurs, and professional ceramic artists to discover or deepen a wide range of techniques.
- Les Veillées de Silice, July 10 to August 14 – On Wednesday and Friday evenings, the Jardin de Silice will host a series of intimate concerts featuring artists from a wide range of backgrounds, including Uwe Neumann, Valérie Milot and Stéphane Tétreault, Alan Gerber, Jad Orphée, Quatuor Mémoire, and Duo Concordance.
